What services does Lexington provide and whom do they serve? 

Services for Persons with Disabilities 

Lexington, one of the best programs of its kind in New York State, provides the following to children and adults who are disabled:
Lexington - Located in Fulton County, Serving Adults and Children with Disabilities

Residential Services
Lexington provides housing for children and adults who are developmentally disabled, mentally ill, or traumatically brain injured.

Residential options include:

  • IRAs
  • Supported Apartments
  • A special residence is provided for elderly frail and/or medically fragile persons with a developmental disability.

 

Vocational Services

Available to individuals with a full spectrum of disabilities.

Employment Resources                                               

Provides:    

  • Direct Placement
  • Supported Employment -- Intensive and follow along services including job development, individual placement, enclaves in industry and work crews.

Lexington Industries                                         

Provides sheltered employment and job training.

Harrison Industries

Day Habilitation Programs                         

Serving individuals who have developmentally disabilities in a variety of settings in Fulton County.

Continuing Day Treatment                                                                

Provides comprehensive array of integrated mental health services for individuals with a mental illness.

Structured Day Program                                                                   

Serving individuals who are survivors of a Traumatic Brain Injury.

Service Coordination
Provides services for:
  • Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
  • Individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries

Lexington Clinic
Lexington's Article 16 Clinic offers services in the following for individuals with a developmental disability:
  • Psychiatry
  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Nursing
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
Lexington Family Services

Helping families in Fulton County who are caring for a child or adult who is developmentally disabled through a wide variety of services.  Some examples are Respite, Recreation, Advocacy and Support.

Program and referral information is available upon request by contacting our point of entry representative at (518) 773-2014.

Recreation                                                                                        

Recreation is provided for children and adults enrolled in other Lexington Services.

Transportation                                                                                  

Transportation is provided for Lexington programs to children and adults who are disabled.  Special transportation is provided for persons who are severely physically disabled.   Lexington also provides special transportation for persons who are mentally ill to support program in Fulton and Montgomery Counties.

 

Services for non-disabled Individuals
 
Meals for Seniors                                                                              

Through a contract with the Fulton County Office for Aging, Lexington prepares and delivers meals for the Senior Meals Program in Fulton and Montgomery Counties.

Employment Resources                                                           

Provides Job Readiness, Life Skills Training, Worksite Placement, Job Placement and Retention through contracts with the New York State Department of Labor, Fulton County Department of Social Services and Montgomery County Department of Social Services.
